The Underwriters at Wholesale Surety are the decision makers for bond programs up to $3,000,000 single/ $6,000,000 aggregate for qualified contractors. These contractors typically meet standard market underwriting criteria and qualify for standard market rates. Our underwriting philosophy places a great emphasis on “Capacity” measured against a broad range of business practices followed by successful construction companies. This methodology insures that the contractors we underwrite get appropriate consideration for running well- managed businesses. It also gives our underwriters greater flexibility in making decisions on limits and rates.
